Create A Meeting Agenda – Or They Will Go Shopping
We love to shop – during boring conference calls that is. Personally, I'm more apt to clean out my email inbox then go shopping, but I can relate.
A recent survey by Bill Me Later/Ipsos Insight showed that 12 million people admitted to shopping online while on work-related conference calls.
I don't blame them. Most conference calls, and business meetings in general are poorly run.
If you set the tone for having quick and effective meetings, be it conference calls or in-person meetings, people will come into the meeting with the mindset of paying attention and knowing it won't be a waste of their time.
